Who we are

This website, chorsamorsa.com, is run by Chorsa Morsa, a maker of Bikaneri bhujia, namkeen, mixture and papad in Gangashahar, Bikaner, Rajasthan (FSSAI licence 12214017000716). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Chorsa Morsa, and "you" means anyone who visits the site or contacts us.

We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, along with the rules made under them.

What this website collects

Very little. The site has no user accounts, no login, no checkout and no payment page. It does not use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies.

• Your order list. When you add packs to your order, the list is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it is still there when you come back. It stays on your device. We cannot see it unless you send it to us on WhatsApp. You can clear it by emptying your order or clearing your browser data.
• Enquiry and partner forms. These forms do not send anything to our server. Pressing the button opens WhatsApp with your message already typed in. Nothing reaches us until you press send in WhatsApp.
• Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are not used to identify you.

Information you share with us

When you order, ask a question or apply to become a partner, you contact us on WhatsApp or by phone. Depending on what you need, that may include:

• your name, phone number and WhatsApp profile
• your delivery address
• the products and quantities you want
• for trade and partner enquiries, your business name, city, GST number and the details you choose to share
• payment details such as a UPI transaction reference, when you pay us

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, OTPs or bank passwords.

How we use it

We use your information only for the purpose you shared it for:

• to confirm your order, its price and delivery, and to send it to you
• to answer your questions and handle any problem with an order
• to consider and manage partner and distributor applications
• to keep the invoices and accounting records the law requires

We will not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to. If you do and later change your mind, tell us and we will stop.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only where needed to do what you asked:

• Courier and delivery partners receive your name, address and phone number so they can deliver your order.
• Banks and payment apps process any payment you make to us, under their own terms and privacy policies.
• Government and legal authorities, when the law requires us to.

Third-party services

Some parts of the site rely on services run by other companies, each under its own privacy policy:

• WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) carries every order and enquiry. Messages you send us are handled under WhatsApp's privacy policy.
• cdnjs (Cloudflare) serves the animation library the site uses. Your browser requests the file from their servers, which can see your IP address.
• Google Maps, Instagram and Facebook are only linked. They receive nothing from this site unless you click through to them.

How long we keep it

We keep order conversations and delivery details for as long as we need them to complete the order and handle any follow-up. We keep invoices and accounting records for as long as tax law requires. After that we delete them.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Order details are handled only by the people at Chorsa Morsa who need them to fulfil your order. No online system is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
• ask us to correct, complete or update it
• ask us to delete it, where we are not required by law to keep it
• withdraw consent you have given us
• nominate someone to act for you if you die or are unable to act yourself
• raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied with our reply, with the Data Protection Board of India

To do any of these, contact us using the details below. We will reply within 30 days.

Children

This site is meant for adults. Orders should be placed by someone aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. The version on this page is the one that applies.
